Apple iPhone X gets YouTube HDR video support

Himanshu, 11 May 2018

A new YouTube feature is rolling out to the iPhone X: HDR video support. Hundreds of iPhone X users are reporting they can now watch high dynamic range videos on YouTube.

To access this new functionality, find an HDR video, head to the three dot menu on the top right (it appears when you tap anywhere on the video), then tap the 'Quality' option, and finally make sure it reads 1080p60 HDR.

With this, the iPhone X has made it to the list that currently includes devices like the Samsung Galaxy S8, Google Pixel, LG V30, and Sony Xperia XZ Premium.

It's worth mentioning that reports say the feature isn't currently available on latest iPad Pro models.
