Asus Zenfone 5 gets priced in the EU, arrives in two weeks

Vlad, 14 May 2018

Asus took the wraps off the Zenfone 5 back in February at MWC, but the device is yet to appear in stock in some markets. That will soon change for the Netherlands though, and perhaps other countries inside the EU too.

Well known retailer Belsimpel is now taking pre-orders for the Zenfone 5, so if you're in the Netherlands you can ensure you'll be among the first people over there to own one. The price you need to pay for this privilege is €399 SIM-free.

Deliveries should take place in around two weeks, so hopefully your brand new Zenfone 5 will be at your door by the end of the month. The Zenfone 5 occupies the middle of Asus' new flagship lineup, with the Zenfone 5z being the top of the line handset. If you want to learn more about the family, make sure you read our hands-on report from the announcement.

The Zenfone 5 boasts a 6.2-inch 1080 x 2246 LCD touchscreen with a notch, the Snapdragon 636 at the helm, 4GB of RAM, dual 12 MP + 8 MP cameras on the back, an 8 MP selfie snapper, and a 3,300 mAh battery. It runs Android 8.0 Oreo.
