First update for OnePlus 6 enables slow-mo videos, hides the notch

Peter, 22 May 2018

The OnePlus 6 is getting its first update and it’s an important one. It gives you the option to hide the notch (a must-have for many) and it improves the camera.

Slow motion video is supported in two modes – 480 fps at 720p resolution and 240 fps at a higher 1080p resolution. Also, the Quick Capture feature gets support for portrait mode (it opens the camera and snaps a picture when you double tap the Power button).

After the installation finishes, the Android Security patch will bumped up to May, the OnePlus Switch app will pre-installed and the Gallery will learn a few new tricks (more actions for recently deleted files).

Note the future tense – you can follow the source link to download ROM files manually or you could wait for the OTA update, which should roll out soon.
