LG Q Stylus series announced with 6.2-inch display, Android 8.1 Oreo

Himanshu, 06 June 2018

LG has officially unveiled a new Q Stylus series of smartphones. The series consists of three models, including Q Stylus, Q Stylus+, and Q Stylusα. The devices are powered by an SoC with octa-core processor (1.5 or 1.8 GHz) and sport a 6.2-inch (18:9) display with 2160 x 1080 pixel resolution.

Memory configuration is 3GB/32GB for the Stylus and Stylusα, and 4GB/64GB for the Stylus+. The camera department - for Stylus and Stylus+ - is handled by a 16MP main shooter and an 8MP (or 5MP) selfie unit. The Stylusα, on the other hand, features a 13MP/5MP camera combo.

Measuring 160.15 x 77.75 x 8.4mm and weighing in at 172g, the devices feature QLens, DTS:X 3D surround sound, a stylus pen (needless to say), a fingerprint scanner, and IP68 water resistance (Stylus and Stylus+ only). They run Android 8.1.0 Oreo and pack in a 3,300mAh battery.

Color options include Moroccan Blue, Aurora Black (Stylus and Stylus+), and Lavender Violet (Stylus+). LG says the Q Stylus series will launch on a limited basis beginning this month in North America and Asia, followed by other key regions in Q3. Not every market will get all variants, and product name, specifications and features may vary depending on the market. Pricing and exact availability will be announced locally.
