Nokia 5.1 FCC approval indicates US launch isn't far

Himanshu, 12 June 2018

The newly-unveiled Nokia 5.1 has been certified by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the US. In total, four models have received green light from the agency, including TA-1088, TA-1081, TA-1075, and TA-1061.

While the TA-1088 and TA-1075 are dual SIM models, the latter and the TA-1081 offer NFC support. All four variants will come 2GB/16GB and 3GB/32GB memory configurations.

At the unveiling event, HMD announced the device will go on sale globally from July starting at €189/$219. So if the company has plans for launching the device in the US, the date shouldn't be very far off.
