Samsung Galaxy S8 getting August 2018 security patch

Ro, 03 August 2018

Surprise, surprise! Samsung is super fast with the monthly security patch this time around and it's rolling out Google's August security fix for the Galaxy S8 and although the report doesn't say anything about the Galaxy S8+, we are pretty sure the latter isn't left out and it's getting the OTA update as well.

The patch has been spotted in Germany with build number G950FXXU3CRGH and it requires a 418MB download.

Aside from the security patch, the changelog mentions improvements for the Game Launcher.

In any case, if you still don't see the update prompt, we recommend scanning for it manually by going to the Settings menu, then Software Update and tapping on Download Updates Manually.

who gives a sh** about S6 in comments about update for S8 .......yes,S8 ?!?!?

Completely nonsense. First S6 was not released yet in 2015 March, it was released on April, second S6 doesn't get anymore support, no security nor software updates, last security update was 2018 April 1 which commomerates with 3 years end of support ...

Are you dump or somthing?. Your S6 is 2015 like Note 5 and now it’s 2018 so it’s 3 years and I didn’t mentioned that Samsung mentioned that when they release S9 and S9 plus 5 month ago 2 years update and 1 years security patch.
