Four Huawei devices are already being tested with Android 9.0 Pie

In a recent Weibo post, a Huawei official confirmed that the developers' team is working hard to deliver the latest major Android update - 9.0 Pie. Four phones, in particular, entered the 9.0 Beta on August 6.

As expected, all four smartphones are flagships - Huawei Mate 10 Pro, Huawei P20, Honor 10 and Honor V10 and it goes without saying that the P20 Pro is implied.

Since Huawei is using a heavy skin overlay, it will take some time to tweak the Android 9.0 Pie OS. We expect the latest EMUI 9.0 to come with a number of new features on top, so it's going to be worth the wait.

The Weibo post also mentions that more devices will follow the steps of the handsets mentioned above pretty soon and once the initial evaluation and testing are complete, Huawei will announce an official roadmap and a list of eligible smartphones. Stay tuned.
