Samsung Galaxy Note9: US, UK, DE availability, prices, goodies

Peter, 09 August 2018

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note9 and it will be in stores on August 24 (that’s two weeks from now). Pre-orders start today.

US

The Galaxy Note9 with 128GB storage (and 6GB RAM) will cost $999, the one with 512GB storage (and 8GB RAM) will be $1,250. The US is getting only the Ocean Blue and Lavender Purple color options.

It will be available on the major carriers: A&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, US Cellular and Xfinity. You’d be able to grab one from Samsung.com and major retailers: Amazon, Best Buy, Costco, Walmart, Target, Sam’s Club and Straight Talk Wireless.

Best Buy is one to look out for, it promises up to $200 in savings with a "qualified activation". Additional deals include "Buy 1, Get 1 free" with Verizon (plus a $100 discount).

On-contract prices for AT&T start at $31.66/mo (for 30 months). For Sprint it's $33.33/mo (for 24 months). T-Mobile wants $280 up front and then it's $30 a month for the 128GB model ($530 up front if you want 512GB). Verizon has two 24 month deals: $42/mo (128GB) and $52/mo (512GB).

If you pre-order (from August 10 to August 23), you may get a freebie (but there are limited quantities available). You can choose either a free pair of AKG noise canceling headphones ($300) or 15,000 Fortnite V-Bucks. You can have both for $99.

UK

Brits are looking at £899 for the 128GB model and £1,099 for the 512GB one. Might Black as well as Ocean Blue and Lavender Purple colors will be available.

Germany

The conversion to euros is pretty straight forward - €999 for the 128GB Galaxy Note9 and €1,249 for the 512GB one.
