Huawei's very cheap Honor 7s launches in India today

Vlad, 04 September 2018

At 2 PM today, on September 4, the Honor 7s will officially make its debut in India. This smartphone from Huawei's sub-brand was first released in Pakistan back in May. In the meantime we've also seen it in the UK.

It's an entry-level smartphone so it's expected to be very cheap in India, like it is in the other markets where it's available. Rumor has it that you'll need to pay INR 8,399 for a unit (that's about $117 or €101). The Honor 7s has a 5.45-inch 720x1440 18:9 touchscreen, a 13 MP rear camera, a 5 MP selfie snapper, and a 3,020 mAh battery.

It runs Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI 8.0 on top. It's powered by the MediaTek MT6739 chipset, which has a 1.5 GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU and PowerVR GE8100 GPU. You get 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage in a package that measures 146.5 x 70.9 x 8.3 mm and weighs 142g.
