Lenovo teases one of Z5 Pro's four cameras - 2x telephoto confirmed

Peter, 08 October 2018

The Lenovo Z5 Pro was officially teased with a quad camera and the details keep trickling in. The latest to come out of Lenovo HQ are four photos taken with the 2x telephoto camera.

So, one of the four cameras will be a telephoto one and another is going to have a regular Field of View. That leaves two more cameras with unknown function (wide-angle, B&W, depth sensor, even 3x tele, there are many possibilities).

Note that the official name of the phone is Lenovo S5 Pro. Perhaps this is to distance the flagship from the Lenovo Z5, which left fans disappointed after a misleading campaign from Lenovo that suggested there wasn’t going to be a notch on the screen.

The S5 Pro does not have a notch, the phone was shown live (the selfie camera is hidden on a slide-out mechanism). It was initially supposed to launch on October 1, but all we got then was a teaser. The new launch date is October 16 and there’s a good chance that Lenovo will make the S5 Pro available outside of China.

Specs-wise we’re looking at a 6.5” QHD+ screen, Snapdragon 845 chipset, 6/8GB of RAM with 64-256GB of storage, plus a 4,000mAh battery.
