Huawei Mate 20 to arrive with a 40W fast charger

Yordan, 15 October 2018

Huawei is introducing the Mate 20 series smartphones tomorrow in London, UK. We are expecting the Mate 20, the Mate 20 Pro, a gaming-focused Mate 20X, and a variant developed by Porsche Design. The Chinese manufacturer is famous with its extremely fast 18W charging technology, but according to a leaked promo poster, the new devices will go a step further and offer 40W charging.

The promo image has the front of the Mate 20 with a waterdrop notch, mixed with the back of the Mate 20 Pro that should come with an under-display fingerprint scanner, according to accumulated leaks. We also see the square camera setup which Huawei teased extensively.

The poster also confirms the 7nm process Kirin 980 chipset once more, along with the suggestions the new phone will have “super wide-angle photos” and “super macro photography”. if the 40W claim is real, we can’t wait to see how Huawei SuperCharge will compare to the ultra fast 50W charging Oppo offers with SuperVOOC and the Find X Lamborghini Edition.
