vivo introduced the V11 in early September in China, then released the phone as V11 Pro in India. Later the company delivered a slightly cheaper version called V11i everywhere else but had the simple V11 moniker on the Indian market. And when you thought it couldn’t get more confusing, the Helio P60-powered unit with a fingerprint scanner on the back appeared as vivo Z3i in China.

All these phones have the same footprint, and now the vivo Z3 joins the family. It is exactly the same in size, including the waterdrop notch, but it comes in two versions - one with Snapdragon 670 and one with Snapdragon 710.

The vivo Z3 V1813BA has the 670 platoform with two Kryo 360 cores at 2 GHz and the other six at 1.7 GHz. The RAM is 4 GB and is coupled with 64 GB storage, expandable by up to 256 GB more via the microSD slot.

The vivo Z3 V1813DA comes with Snapdragon 710 that has the same CPU configuration, but with higher clock speeds - up to 2.2 GHz. RAM is 6 GB, while storage is either 64 GB or 128 GB.

vivo surprised us with the downgraded cameras in the Z3 - the selfie snapper is not 25 MP anymore - it is merely 12 MP with dual pixel sensor. The rear setup is 16 MP + 2 MP, which is also a downgrade from its V-named twins.

One thing that the manufacturer did not change throughout all phones is the screen - it is a 6.3” LCD panel with 1080p resolution and a tiny waterdrop notch for the selfie camera, while the speaker is incorporated in the top bezel/edge between the screen and the rim. The battery has 3,315 mAh capacity and sadly is charged via a microUSB port.

The phone is available in three fancy colors - Starry Night, Aurora Blue, and Dream Powder. Pricing goes as follows - the SD670/4GB/64GB version is CNY1,598 ($230), the SD710/6GB/64GB option is CNY1,898 ($275), while the most powerful SD710/6GB/128GB variant is CNY2,298 ($330). The vivo Z3 is already available through vivo’s online store.

Hmm. Maybe the upcoming QSD460? We're expecting Cortex-A55 cores to trickle down to budget segment (let alone Kryo 3xx based on the A55, it should be on the 6xx/7xx/8xx series)

Yeah. In terms of performance, the 636/660 SoCs are one (one and a half for the 660) step ahead against the QSD625. But its redundant use because of great value that makes the 636/660 are the new 625.
