Top 10 trending phones of week 44

Chip, 05 November 2018

The super busy October is now over, but the effects of all the new launches are still felt in our popularity chart. Not a single phone has managed to stay on top for two weeks in a row for nine straight weeks now.

The OnePlus 6T debuted on Monday and immediately captured everybody's attention and ended up leading the chart. Meanwhile the Galaxy A7 (2018) leveraged on its expanding market presence and powerful marketing campaign to wrestle the second place away from the Huawei Mate 20 Pro.

Last week's leader Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 is now down to fourth, just ahead of its stablemates Redmi Note 6 Pro and Pocophone F1.

Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) has slipped a position to seventh, while another phone to go official this week has captured eight - the Honor Magic 2, which will sadly remain a China exclusive.

Samsung Galaxy S8 refuses to slip into irrelevance and has even gained a position to ninth, while the Honor 8X has slipped to tenth.

The two phones from last week's elite that didn't make the cut this time are the Huawei Mate 20 X and the Xiaomi Black Shark Helo.

It's worth noting that neither of Apple's newly introduced iPad Pro tablets made the top 10. It's as damning indication as any for the slate market when the two most capable representatives are unable to join the top 10 in their very first week of existence.
