Xiaomi announces its "biggest party yet", will be held on December 8 in New York

Xiaomi likes to party – today the company announced its “biggest party yet”, which will take place in New York on December 8. This comes a day after the UK event was scheduled for later this week. However, this time there isn’t even a hint of what kind of devices will be demoed.

“Experience our latest and greatest Xiaomi products” is pretty broad considering that the company makes everything from headphones to electric scooters. In fact, those are two things it sells in the US through Mi.com.

Xiaomi is, of course, best-known for its phones, however, and there isn’t even a trace of them on the company’s US site. There are no official retailers of Mi or Redmi phones either.

Is that about to change? We would have said “no” after Huawei and ZTE were kicked out, but then the OnePlus and T-Mobile partnership is off to a great start. If Xiaomi has found a carrier or retailer to help it enter the US market, it will be quite a party indeed.

The company has already shipped 100 million phones this year and it has two Android One handsets – Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite – which are well-suited for a western audience. The MIUI-running Pocophone F1 can make people question the price of the OnePlus 6T too.

There’s one way to know for sure what happens at the event – sign up to attend (which you can do here). If you’re selected, you’ll get to meet the Xiaomi team, their special guests and “notable celebrities”. You’ll have a better chance of being picked if you lived in the US, a sure sign that that the company wants to expand its US presence.

Man but i did. I run a phone show we selling around 50 different ophone brands and trust me apple have most claims then Samsung I dont need to try it. Many unhappy customers returning broken phones are enough to give hands off from apple.

Have you ever bought an iPhone? lol. I don't experience any of the s**t you've been talking about. You can never judge it unless you owned it, and not just by reading the internet.

Not its not. They selling quality at affordable price. Compared to apple which sells expensive at lack of quality due t a lot of major bugs with each new device or OS update.
