Samsung Galaxy J4 Core goes official with big 6-inch display and 3,300mAh battery

Ro, 09 November 2018

After the leak the other day, the Samsung Galaxy J4 Core doesn't surprise us with its official release today, but we will go over this once again. It's the company's second Android Go-powered handset after all and will probably be a good deal in the emerging markets.

The most notable feature would be the display - it's still LCD, but it comes in a big 6.0" diagonal and an HD+ (720 x 1480) resolution. Sadly, the chipset hasn't been updated this year and it's the same in-house Exynos 7570 Quad SoC with a (you guessed it) quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU clocked at 1.4 GHz that we saw with the J2 Core. Perhaps that's why Samsung hasn't listed the SoC in the specs sheet.

Anyway, memory configuration stays the same too - 1GB of RAM with 16GB of internal storage, which is expandable with up to 512GB microSD cards.

Its main shooter isn't anything fancy - just a regular 8MP sensor with an f/2.2 lens while the front accommodates a 5MP camera with the same f/2.2 aperture.

The battery life is expected to be pretty good thanks to the 3,300 mAh cell giving juice to a low-res display and pretty underpowered SoC. And as mentioned before, the device runs on the Android Go platform with 8.1 Oreo out of the box.

As of now, no information regarding price and availability has been given. But we do know that it's offered in Black, Gold and Blue.

Sorry for this question but I havent used any Android GO phones, Do you think that this phone would be able to atleast play 1 game? Like for Example, DragonNest Mobile ( this game runs very well with Samsung J7 2015 with just 1.5GB Ram).

And btw question for GSMarena. On your site in specs sheet it says this model has SD425 (28nm), but in the article you said it's Exynos 7570 (14nm). So, which is it?

OKAY... PEOPLE ARE BOGGLED WITH THIS PHONE HAVING ONLY 1GB RAM.... BUT.. BUT... do you know what Android Go is? It's not a regular OS from Google so please stop comparing it with it. Just use the google and find the right answers before you star...
