Asus Zenfone Max (M2) and Zenfone Max Pro (M2) go official

Asus is introducing the Zenfone Max (M2) and Zenfone Max Pro (M2) on December 11 in India, but the devices have already been listed on the company's Russian website. What's more, the vanilla Max (M2) is available for purchase for RUB 12,990 or around $195, while the mightier Max Pro (M2) is RUB 17,990 (about $270) and is up for pre-order.

Asus Zenfone Max M2 specs were already leaked, along with press images, but just to refresh your memory - Snapdragon 632 chipset, 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage that's expandable through a dedicated microSD slot (and you also get dual-SIM functionality at the same time). There is an 8 MP + 2 MP dual camera system on the back, a 13 MP selfie shooter, and a massive 4,000 mAh battery. The screen is a 6.3" 1520x720 panel with 19:9 aspect ratio and a notch.

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 brings more power in the same body - Snapdragon 660 and 4/64 GB base memory. The phone's 6.3" LCD panel has 2280x1080 resolution, and on the back you get a 12 MP + 5 MP main camera setup, while the selfie shooter is 13 MP, tucked in a notch.

One third party retailer in Russia also has a 4/64GB version of the non-Pro up for grabs, as well as a 4/128GB iteration of the Pro. Pre-orders of the Zenfone Max Pro (M2) from the official online store will ship on December 12.

What's wrong with that? ( . . . you?) This is a budget device ... you can't get everything for that price! Go for a midranger, if you need that overhyped Type-C! Nearly all Type-C is with the same USB 2.0 specs only . . . lol D...
