Latest OxygenOS Open Beta arrives for OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T

Yordan, 28 December 2018

OxygenOS Open Beta has just started hitting the OnePlus 6 and the OnePlus 6T. The builds are respectively number 10 and number 2, but they both bring the same updates and features. According to posts on the OnePlus forum, there are improvements to the System, the Phone, Gallery, and Launcher apps.

OnePlus 6

The latest open beta build has polished screen and color adaptation for the navigation bar when using third-party apps. UI has been improved for Call History and different category tags in the app drawer, and now the Toolbox has more recommended tools. Indian users will also get caller identification.

The Gallery app brings options like Create a Collection, Copy, and Move photos. The overall experience is also boosted, and if you want to lock the app, you can unlock it with a PIN without the need of an extra tap for the tick to confirm the four-digit code.

OnePlus 6T

Since this is another version of the Open Beta, those who are already participating, will receive the build as an OTA. If you would like to join the party, you have to go through the OnePlus forums.

Cheers to Matt for the tip!
