Verizon's Galaxy S9 and S9+ are now getting the Android 9 Pie update too

Vlad, 30 January 2019

Well, that didn't take long. Yesterday the Android 9 Pie update for the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ finally reached the US, going out to the units sold by Comcast's Xfinity Mobile MVNO. And today Verizon has started the rollout for the same updates as well.

If you bought your S9 or S9+ from Big Red, expect to see an update notification pop up in the next few days. Once you install the new release, you'll be on build number G960USQU3CSAB for the S9, and G965USQU3CSAB for the S9+. If you haven't gotten the notification yet and are impatient, perhaps it won't hurt to manually check for the update through Settings.

With this release, you'll get Android 9 Pie and all the goodies that Google has packed into that, but also Samsung's brand new One UI on top. Additionally, your phone will be on the January 2019 security patch level. The carrier's full, detailed changelogs can be accessed by visiting the Source links below.

Now that the first of the 'big four' has the ball rolling, we're hoping that AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint will follow suit very soon with updates for their own versions of Samsung's flagships from early 2018.

I did, still no update. Not even the January security patch (I'm still on the December one). The thing is Samsung released the update to the Exynos versions first, which I understand since that's their in-house processor, so it's easier for them to b...

Have you tried downloading Android Pie with One UI manually? Settings> Software Update> Dowload updates manually. I did this today & it's there, although I'm postponing to checkout feedback 1st. N9 Exynos, U.K., Unlocked.
