Listen to the 10th anniversary rendition of Over the Horizon for the Galaxy S10

Peter, 14 February 2019

Samsung’s Over the Horizon tune has become as iconic as the Nokia Tune. It was first composed for the Galaxy S II in 2011 and has been reworked a number of times since then in various genres. For the Galaxy S10 phones, Samsung tapped Academy Award-winner Steven Price to compose a Classical Crossover piece for the Philharmonia Orchestra to perform at the famous Abbey Road Studios.

The new version takes its inspiration from the beauty of the oceans and adds to the “hope and future-oriented” feel of the original.

This is an audio-visual experience and stars freediver Ai Futaki, a renowned conservationist and Guinness World Record holder. The video was shot by acclaimed nature filmmakers off the shores of Sipadan Island, Malaysia.
