Check out these Redmi Note 7 Pro camera samples

Yordan, 08 March 2019

The Redmi Note 7 Pro was introduced last week and will go on sale by the end of the month across multiple markets. The phone's 48 MP camera with the Sony IMX58 sensor is one of its key features so now two Xiaomi executives released a teaser with day & night camera samples from it.

The first image is taken by Lin Bin, co-founder and President at the Chinese company. It is in full 48-megapixel resolution with applied background blur.

Edge-detection looks great and you can see on the underside of the pink flower, even the smallest crest is caught. There is slight blur on the top side, but all in all it's a great shot.

The other sample was posted by Lu Weibing, Xiaomi VP and president of the Redmi sub-division. The photo is a demonstration of the night mode capabilities of the Snapdragon 675-powered smartphone, and there are more positives to be taken as well.

The photo is 12 MP, which is the standard resolution for advanced photos - the sensor has a Quad-Bayer filter, which means it's essentially a 12MP unit with large pixels rather than a true 48MP one.

The phone will launch on March 13 in India and will cost INR13,999 or INR16,999. The Chinese event is scheduled for March 18, but we are yet to see how much will it cost at home.

At least this is one of the better ones I've seen in a mid-end smartphone, so I can't really complain much about it to be honest

Less than below average price

At first I thought it was a natural bokeh, until that top blur is mentioned. Pretty cool for a midrange.
