vivo X27 teaser videos surface online

Victor, 09 March 2019

The vivo X27 is hardly a surprise at this point, since most of its specs were already spilled by TENAA last month. That was quickly followed-up by sightings in the wild and an official announcement date, set for March 19. Today brings a couple of teaser videos for the phone. Both pretty short and not really particularly impressive or revealing in any way.

Still, they do seem to share a common theme - high fashion and style and that's likely the angle vivo will be going for with the X27 marketing campaign. We can't really fault them for accenting on looks, since the company and the whole of BBK Electronics, actually, including sister brand Oppo have been putting out some really stunning colors and designs lately.

So far we have seen the vivo X27 in a blue dye pretty similar to that on the vivo V15 Pro. Instead of Coral Red and Ruby Red, however, vivo appears to have gone with a softer, kind of pink gradient finish for a second color. It reminds us of the color on the vivo Z3i, minus the pattern.

Speaking of other vivo devices and specifically the V15 Pro, the new X27 seems to take after it quite a bit both design and specs-wise. We expect the X27 to sport the same 6.39-inch, Super AMOLED panel, complete with an under-display fingerprint reader. A slightly snappier Snapdragon 710and 8GB of RAM are also on the list of expectations, as well as a 3,920 mAh battery - beefier than the one in the vivo V15 Pro and pretty close to the pack inside the Oppo F11 Pro.

The similarities with the latter don’t stop there either, since the vivo X27 will probably use a 16MP motorized selfie camera, just like the one on the F11 Pro. As for the main camera setup - sources mention a 48MP and a 5MP snapper, just like on the V15 Pro. The third camera is rumored to use a 13MP sensor, though, so we're interested to see whether it will be an ultra-wide unit.
