INQ cancels Cloud Q to focus on future products

04 January, 2012

INQ has decided to cancel its QWERTY-slash-touchscreen droid Cloud Q from its roadmap and deny it creation. The decision has been confirmed to website Electricpig by an INQ spokesperson.

The Brit phone-maker INQ announced its Facebook-centric Android-running Cloud Touch and Cloud Q devices almost a year ago. The Cloud Touch has been out on the market since the spring of 2011 but the Cloud Q never made it to the market.

The spokesperson for INQ also shares that the company does not intend to make any announcements at the MWC in Barcelona next month and instead will release a device in the second half of 2012. There's no word on what to expect but knowing INQ we're guessing social networking integration will be a major part of it.

We've already seen dedicated Facebook integration all over the Android playing field in the face of HTC, Sony Ericsson and others.

Thanks to everyone who sent this in!

Lol even if they did release this; doubt they'll make many sales, too many competitors nowadays
