Android 10 Q beta 3 is now available for 21 smartphones from 13 brands

Vlad, 07 May 2019

Earlier today Google took the wraps off its new consumer-facing features coming in Android 10 Q, due to be finalized and released to Pixel devices in late summer. And now the company has unleashed the third beta build of the software to no less than 21 smartphones from 13 manufacturers (including itself with all Pixels).

It's the greatest number of handsets ever to participate in an Android beta, and this has been made possible by the launch in 2017 of Project Treble as part of Android Oreo. Last year at Google I/O there were 8 devices from 7 partners joining the P beta program, together with the first and second gen Pixels. And now we have 2.5 times the footprint from last year.

Here's the full list of phones you can now test Android Q beta 3 on: Asus Zenfone 5z, Essential Phone, Huawei Mate 20 Pro, LG G8 ThinQ, Nokia 8.1, OnePlus 6T, Oppo Reno, Realme 3 Pro, Sony Xperia XZ3, Tecno Spark 3 Pro, vivo X27, vivo NEX S, vivo NEX A, Xiaomi Mi 9, Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G.

Add to these all three Pixel generations. If you own a Pixel, participating is as easy as heading to this page and enrolling your device. You'll then receive the beta build as an over-the-air update. If you want to test on another supported handset from the list above, you'll need to manually install the beta by following the instructions linked from this page under your specific device model.

The new beta release has most of the features that Google announced today, aside from a few that will arrive later this year. To find out what to expect, make sure you go through our article detailing what's new in Android 10 Q.
