ZTE Blade A5 2019 unveiled

ZTE unveiled its entry-level Blade A7 at the beginning of the month and now it's adding the even more affordable ZTE Blade A5 2019 to its lineup. The phone offers an 18:9 screen, octa-core processor and affordable price.

The Blade A5 2019 features a 5.45-inch HD+ screen with an 8MP f/2.4 selfie cam sitting in the classic full bezel above it.

Around the back, it has a single 13MP f/2.0 camera with LED flash. The phone is powered by the Unisoc SC9863A chipset with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, which can be expanded via the microSD card slot. Battery wise we’re looking at a 2,600 mAh cell which can be topped up via microUSB. The phone also sports a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Blade A5 2019 runs on Android 9.0 with ZTE’s MiFavor 9.0 UI skin on top. The phone is immediately available in Russia in blue and black color variants. Pricing starts at RUB 6,490 ($100), but we’ll have to wait and see whether ZTE decides to bring it to other markets.

Its a small Chinese semiconductor they only make for budget devices, this SoC is the first SoC ever to feature eight A55 cores which is kinda impressive tough its built on the latest 28nm node so its more power efficient than a SD430(A53 cores & ...

unisoc is also known before as Spreadtrum, the soc that powers the zte blade is the sc9863a which is an octa core arm cortex a55 cpu much faster and more efficient than cortex a53

It's Spreadtrum, but they renamed itself last year in Unisoc.
