OnePlus 6/6T get May 2019 security patch with the latest OxygenOS updates
Last week OnePlus rolled out OxygenOS Open Beta updates for OnePlus 6 and 6T which came with Zen Mode and Screen Recorder. Now, the Chinese phone maker has released the stable builds of OxygenOS for its 2018 flagships.
OnePlus is rolling out OxygenOS 9.0.6 for the OnePlus 6, and 9.0.14 for the 6T. The two updates have identical changelogs, with the exception of the 6T getting some optimizations for its front camera. You can check out the entire change-log of these latest builds below:
- System
- Updated Android Security Patch to 2019.5
- General bug fixes and improvements
- Bluetooth
- Support for Quick Pairing of Bullets Wireless 2 added
- Improved stability and compatibility of Bluetooth
- Launcher
- Improved confirm password UI for hidden space
- Camera (OnePlus 6T)
- Optimized photo quality from the front camera
- Bug fix
- Fixed issue with ringtone for SMS
- Fixed issue with speed dial getting cleared
- Fixed issue loading credentials required WiFi requiring Login
Neither phone gets the Zen Mode or Screen Recorder yet, but we are hopeful that the next stable builds will bring these features to the 6 and 6T.
OnePlus is rolling out these updates over-the-air, but it's an incremental rollout, so only a small percentage of users will get the OTA today, with the broader rollout commencing in a "few days."

Why no camera optimisation for one plus 6 phone. It is this phone which gave lead to one plus co. over Samsung and Xiaomi. One plus team has easily sidetracked and forgotten one plus 6

Oneplus is really serious about their updates. Even 3 got a slice of pie recently. Puts big names like Samsung & Huawei to shame, who don't take this thing seriously & take forever to roll out.

All Phones Have Backdoor access, whether Chinese or American. Better to use a feature phone with no internet.
