T-Mobile launches 5G network on June 28 with the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G

T-Mobile is finally ready to throw its hat into the 5G ring. The magenta carrier will launch its 5G network on June 28, in parts of six urban areas: Atlanta, Cleveland, Dallas, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and New York.

If you live in any of those places, check out TMo's coverage maps - it made one for each city. Don't expect a lot at this point, it uses mmWave technology which requires a lot of 'towers' for coverage.

If you're lucky enough to spend your time in an area that will get coverage from the get-go, perhaps you'd like a 5G smartphone to take advantage of the new network. T-Mobile's thought of that too, offering you the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G. Like the network itself, this becomes available on June 28.

You'll find it in select stores in the aforementioned six cities, and it can be yours for $1,299.99 full retail or $549.99 down and then $31.25 per month for two years if you use T-Mobile's no-interest equipment installment plan.
