Video shows how the Samsung Galaxy A80 camera lifts and flips with just one motor

There are pop-up cameras and flip-up cameras and then there’s the Samsung Galaxy A80, which performs both motions. How though? Maybe this video can help shed some light:

The two motions are apparently driven by just one motor, which first pushes the slider up and then continues pushing until the cameras are fliped around by the mechanism.

The Weibo blogger who posted the video has apparently worked up full disassembly schematics for the phone, which should further clear up how the mechanism works. But from the looks of it, it is not much more complicated than a regular pop-up camera (and it has the added benefit of better selfies).

cause jerryrig is very well implemented and ifixit too, if gsma will start something like that is probably one thing that will fail. even gsma use jerryrig and ifixit stuff for that so no need to.

Why the source is Chinese not South Korea?
