Oppo A9x with 8GB RAM bags certification in China
The Oppo A9x which was announced back in May is getting a new version with 8GB RAM as revealed by Chinese authority TENAA's website. Initially the phone was only available with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The new version is expected to launch in China soon.
The A9x is an incremental upgrade over Oppo’s A9 and offers a large 6.53-inch FHD display with a tiny waterdrop notch alongside a 48MP main camera and generous 4,020 mAh battery. It comes in Meteorite Black and Ice Jade White colors.
We are unsure if the new 8GB version will replace the existent A9x at the CNY 1,999 ($289) price point as the 6GB version gets a discount, or if the roomier version will simply be priced above that.

what's the point of it tho. it's not like we can make full use of 6 alone
