Oppo A9 (2020) goes official: Snapdragon 665 SoC, quad camera, and 5,000 mAh battery

Oppo announced the latest entry to its mid-range porfolio - meet the Oppo A9 (2020). And yes, we realize it's still September 2019.

The A9 (2020) is built around a 6.5" HD+ display that promises a screen-to-body ratio of 89%. The screen also has a cut-out up top for the 16MP selfie shooter featuring AI Beautification.

Around the back, you get a fingerprint scanner accompanied by four cameras - 48MP main, 8MP ultrawide, and two 2MP units. The cameras come with features like Ultra Night Mode 2.0 and Portrait Stylizers.

There's also a Cinematic Video Style feature which Oppo says "can turn your personal videos into theatrical masterpieces using movie-like effects and professional-caliber color grading".

The Oppo A9 (2020) is powered by a Snapdragon 665 SoC with 4GB or 8GB RAM. The smartphone runs Android Pie-based ColorOS 6.0.1 and has 128GB of storage. It also features a dedicated microSD card slot that allows storage expansion by up to 256GB.

The A9 (2020) comes in Space Purple and Marine Green colors and packs a 5,000 mAh battery which supports reverse charging so that you can use it to juice up other devices.

Other features of the A9 (2020) include Game Boost 2.0 and dual stereo speakers.

The A9 (2020) is currently listed on Oppo Pakistan's website and will make its way to India on September 16.

cause it's cheap. you don't really need usb-c for fast charging, you only need the technology. the only benefit is either file transfer or durability, things not quite needed for a budget phone.
