Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro may officially land in Europe in mid-November

Huawei's grand unveiling event for the Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro took place in Europe, but so far neither device has officially been released in the continent. That might change soon, if a new rumor that supposedly originates at "well-informed sources based in China" is to be believed.

These unnamed people claim that the company is gearing up to release the phones in Europe in mid-November. In fact, the launch date could be November 15. That said, it's still unclear exactly which countries are going to get the new flagship duo.

However, the same sources speculate that the first wave of countries to receive them will be Germany, France, Spain, Italy, the UK, and Switzerland, with more to follow afterwards.

It remains to be seen how successful the Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro can be in such developed markets, given how they ship running Android 10 but are devoid of any Google apps - including the Play Store and the Play Services framework which a lot of third party apps require as well. This all has to do with the US government's ban on companies from that country doing business with Huawei, which leaves Google unable to certify new handsets from its Chinese partner for the foreseeable future.

The Mate 30 will start at €799, while the Mate 30 Pro is priced at €1,099. If you want the Mate 30 Pro 5G, that will cost €1,199.
