The German mobile bank N26 is already supporting Google Pay, but it has now expanded to half a dozen European countries. Looking at the list, half of the financial institutions are based in Denmark - a lot of the Sparekassen (savings banks) now support NFC payments, meaning they can easily join the Google Pay family.

Last time we saw such a massive rollout was in July when 25 banks were added. The service is currently available in 30 countries all over the globe, supporting hundreds of traditional banks and modern fin-tech platforms like Revolut, Monzo, etc.

Oddly enough I managed to pay with Google Pay in Bulgaria a couple of times this year (although most POS terminals rejected my phone ("invalid card number")).

The list is either woefully outdated or inaccurate, or both. E.g. in Czech Republic you have listed only fraction from a total of 12 banks that support Google pay here: https://support.google.com/pay/answer/7572320 Same for another country I check...
