Asus ZenFone 5z receiving Android 10 update
Asus rolled out the Android 10 update for the ZenFone 6 earlier this month, and now the Taiwanese phone maker is seeding the latest version of Android for its 2018 flagship - ZenFone 5z.
The new build, sporting version number 100.04.44.98, is rolling out for units bearing model number ZS620KL. It brings in Android 10 features and removes a few apps as well as Twin App support for Arena of Valor, PUBG, Vainglory, and Injustice 2.
Here's the full changelog of the Android 10 update for ZenFone 5z (ZS620KL):
- Upgraded system to Android 10
- Support Google Play system update
- Removed Page Marker, ZeniMoji, Selfie Master, Beauty Live, Kids Mode, Easy Mode, weather animation setting, AI charging, WebStorage, Go2Pay, Report Location in Safeguard, and Yandex cloud option in File Manager
- Removed the support of Twin app for "Arena of Valor, PUBG, Vainglory, and Injustice 2"
- Moved Themes and Mobile Manager to Advanced Settings
- Some 3rd party apps aren’t compatible with Android 10 yet
- Upgraded APN settings
- Add the APN setting of Canada Public Mobile
- Modify ASUS APN Setting
The update is rolling out over the air and it will be a week or two before it reaches all the units. But, if you can't wait for the update notification to pop-up on your device, you can check for it manually by heading over to the Settings > System > System updates menu on your device.
