Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite specs leak ahead of imminent unveiling

Vlad, 19 December 2019

For a while now we've been hearing about the Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy Note10 Lite, both devices that Samsung is going to launch soon, in a shift of its usual release strategy.

Today the specs of the Galaxy S10 Lite have been leaked in Germany, and with them comes news that this model is supposed to become official in the next few days.

So what should you expect? Apparently, a 6.7-inch 1080x2400 Super AMOLED touchscreen with 20:9 aspect ratio and a centered hole-punch for the selfie cam. At the helm we'll find the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, in all regions including Europe - unlike what happened with the S10 and S10+ which had Exynos chips in that region and others.

The phone gets 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, expandable via microSD card of up to 1TB capacity. The main rear shooter will be a 48 MP f/2.0 camera with OIS. It's not just any OIS, though, for this is something called "tilt-OIS", which Samsung will market as "tOIS". It allows the lens in front of the camera sensor to tilt a few degrees in different directions to compensate for your hand's movements, in addition to the usual OIS technology.

Also on the rear, sitting alongside this camera, will be a 12 MP ultrawide with f/2.2 aperture, and a 5 MP dedicated macro snapper with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, there's a 32 MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture. Android 10 is on board, underneath Samsung's new One UI 2.0.

The S10 Lite has a 4,500 mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging, and even with all of that capacity the handset will be 8.1mm thin. The device will be offered in black, white, and blue, and it will be priced at €679.99 (give or take 10 euros depending on specific country, because of differences in taxes).

That's cheaper than the S10e's debut pricing of €749.99, although that model has in the meantime become much more affordable than that through various deals and price cuts.

Really? I you don't think that the screen res is one of the main things that make it "lite" considering nearly everything else doesn't???

it will be a good offer as this phone will reach s10e price level
