First Redmi K30 5G flash sale ends in two hours

Xiaomi introduced the Redmi K30 5G back at the beginning of December, but we had to wait nearly a month to see the phone with the next-gen network support go on sale. Now, the time has come and it was shortly available for purchase before it sold out.

According to the official Weibo profile of the company, the first batch went out in 2 hours.

Redmi did not reveal how many units were sold during the two-hour period, but revealed a new flash sale will take place on January 10, at 10:00 AM local time.

Currently, the phone has the lowest starting price for a 5G handset - CNY1,999 ($285/€255) for a 6/64 GB variant. However, Redmi K30 5G is only available in 8/128 GB variant which costs CNY2,599 ($370/€335).

Last year 5G connectivity was reserved for flagships, but 2020 will also bring plenty of mid-rangers that work on the new networks.

The Redmi K30 5G already faces competition from Oppo Reno3 Pro and Realme X50 5G - two devices that have the very same Snapdragon 765G chipset and a relatively close price tag.
