New Huawei P40 renders show a triple rear and dual front cameras

Peter, 15 January 2020

The first renders of the Huawei P40 were disappointingly dark – a new render coming from insiders offers a clear view of the upcoming phone. It shows a triple camera on the back housed in a rectangular camera bump in the top left corner – a design that is seemingly shared by all flagships coming in 2020.

The front is interesting too, it shows a flat screen with a pill-shaped hole to house the dual selfie camera. The screen should measure 6.1” or 6.2” in diagonal.

There aren’t much details about the non-Pro, but the rumor mill claims a main + ultrawide camera on the back plus a 3D ToF sensor. However, if the text below the camera as seen in the render is to be believed, the third camera actually has an 80mm telephoto lens (3x zoom). The selfie camera almost certainly features a main and an ultra wide lens.

Disappointingly, the phone seems to have lost its 3.5mm headphone jack – the P30 had one on the bottom. This render doesn’t show a top view of the P40, but jacks are typically visible even in side views as they are surrounded by a small indentation to make room for the plug.

The Huawei P40 will be powered by the Kirin 990 chipset (probably the 5G variant) and it will run Android 10 with Huawei Mobile Services replacing the Google software. The P40 and P40 Pro will be unveiled in March and they are expected to be quite different. The Pro model is rumored to have two more cameras on the back and a quad-curved display on the front.

Actually, i starting to think u have no idea how easy sideloading GMS is. And when its there, Play Store will works normally along with auto update apps if u want it to be. Please, at least be a knowledgable hater. Not a laughing stock.

Why would you think you would have to update apps manually when I literally just told you that you could install GMS(which of course includes Play Store) within a very short period of time? Are you actually reading my comments before replying?

Ok, GL with updating every application manually on a 1000 dollar machine.
