Poco X2 goes official: 6.67" 120Hz display, SD730G and 64MP camera

Sagar, 04 February 2020

The Poco F1 (aka Pocophone F1 outside India) announced back in August 2018 was an instant hit - thanks to the flagship-grade hardware offered at an aggressive price. Now a year and a half later, the company has announced its second smartphone, dubbed Poco X2.

The Poco X2 is not a direct successor to the Poco F1, but as expected, it is actually a re-branded Redmi K30 currently available in China. The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 730G SoC, runs MIUI 11 out of the box, and comes in three memory configurations - 6GB/64GB, 6GB/128GB, and 8GB/256GB.

The X2 is built around a 6.67" 20:9 RealityFlow display of FullHD+ resolution. It has a refresh rate of 120Hz, supports HDR 10, and has a pill-shaped hole in the top-right corner for the 20MP and 2MP selfie cameras.

Around the back, the Poco X2 has a quad camera setup, which is a combination of a 64MP Sony IMX686 main camera, 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensor units. The smartphone comes with RAW image support, can record 960FPS slow-motion videos, and has VLOG Mode in tow.

The Snapdragon 730G-powered X2 features a side-mounted fingerprint reader and packs a 4,500 mAh battery that draws power through a USB-C port at up to 27W. It comes with the 3.5mm headphone jack and features liquid cool technology, which Poco claims can dissipate heat 300% faster.

The Poco X2 comes in three colors - Atlantis Blue, Matrix Purple, and Phoenix Red.
