Pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip announced last week went live in India yesterday and the smartphone was out of stock within minutes in the country.

The Galaxy Z Flip is priced at INR109,999 ($1,530/€1,410) in India and was up for pre-booking through the company's official site and select retail stores across the country. Samsung didn't reveal how many units of the Z Flip were sold, but it did say that pre-bookings are on hold and will re-open soon.

Those who managed to pre-book the Galaxy Z Flip yesterday will start getting deliveries from February 26. Samsung is reported to accept pre-orders again from February 28, but we are awaiting official confirmation.

In the meantime, those who couldn't pre-order the Galaxy Z Flip yesterday can sign up here to get notified about the next pre-orders.

The Galaxy Z Flip is powered by the Snapdragon 855+ SoC and comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It sports a 6.7" foldable Dynamic AMOLED display of 2636x1080 pixel resolution and features three cameras - a 10MP snapper on the inside and two 12MP units on the outside.

The Flip will sell way less than the Fold because at least the latter provides a bigger screen when it's unfolded. Either way, I'm not into folding devices because they're all so damage-prone.
