Realme 6i officially confirmed to sport 48MP quad camera

Sagar, 13 March 2020

Realme announced the Realme 6 and 6 Pro last week and it's set to add a third member to the lineup on March 17, dubbed Realme 6i.

Realme's Myanmar branch confirmed that 6i will be powered by the Helio G80 SoC and charge at up to 18W through a USB-C port.

Now the company has confirmed that Realme 6i will sport a quad camera setup on the back, with a 48MP main unit, which is an upgrade over the 5i's 12MP primary camera.

The purpose of the remaining three modules is currently unknown, but we are likely looking at an 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensor units.

Realme hasn't divulged the rest of the specs of the 6i, but the smartphone passed through FCC last month confirming a rear-mounted fingerprint reader and a waterdrop notch display that measures around 6.5".

FCC also revealed that 6i will pack a 5,000 mAh battery, which will be the largest in the 6 Series since the vanilla 6 and its Pro version pack 4,300 mAh cells.

More details about the Realme 6i should surface in the days leading to the official announcement.

OIS helps to lower the shutter speed of a sensor so that the sensors would capture more light with minimum to no handshake blur. So, OIS means lowlight Photography

OIS is a technology. It doesn't imply low light. It just enables slower shutter speeds, that's all.
