Screenshots show the iQOO Neo3 will have a 120Hz screen

Peter, 07 April 2020

The official teaser for the iQOO Neo3 claimed the phone’s screen will have a “higher refresh rate”, but didn’t give the exact number – that’s why we have leaks such as this one, which shows a screenshot of the settings menu.

120Hz will be the maximum refresh rate of the phone and, unlike Samsung, vivo also offers an intermediary option – 90Hz. Some find that this offers a great balance between smooth animations and good battery life, others will prefer to go all out with the 120Hz option. There’s an Auto mode for those undecided.

A screenshot of the About screen shows that the iQOO Neo3 will be equipped with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage. That’s the same base configuration as the iQOO 3 5G. The company has already confirmed the flagship Snapdragon 865 chipset in the official teaser so that’s not a surprise.

The Neo3 will have a 1080p screen, just like on its sibling. It will even keep the punch hole camera on the right (you can tell by the positioning of the status bar icons). The iQOO 3, however, doesn’t have a high refresh screen, it only boosted the touch sampling rate to 180Hz (keeping screen updates at 60Hz).

Unfortunately, there’s no info on when the phone will be made official.
