Xiaomi Mi A3 starts receiving stable Android 10 for the third time

Yordan, 08 April 2020

The Xiaomi Mi A3 smartphone is part of the Android One program so you'd expect it to get speedy OS updates. However, Xiaomi has really struggled with the Android 10 update, which was twice retracted - first over major bugs and phone bricks and then because of fingerprint issues.

Third time is the charm and now a stable ROM is seeding once again to Mi A3 users.

The package designation is V11.0.11.0 QFQMIXM and should be hitting Mi A3 devices OTA. The easiest way to get it is to click the notification that has arrived, and if such isn’t available, maybe you’ve disabled automatic updates and should check manually. Xiaomi is rolling out the update gradually, so it might take some time before it hits all units.

The Android 10 update comes with new gesture navigation, system-wide dark mode, and better privacy controls. Hopefully, all the issues from the previous versions are done, otherwise we doubt current Mi A3 users would want to buy another Xiaomi phone in the future.

Thanks, Ali Shahbaz, for the screenshot!
