OnePlus certifies a 65W fast charger

Yordan, 07 May 2020

OnePlus introduced its latest flagships, and both of them come with 30W fast-charging. However, this doesn’t sound that fast, especially when the parent company BBK Electronics is launching Oppo smartphones with 65W charge over the cable.

This is likely going to change with the next OnePlus flagship - the brand has just certified a 10V/6.5A charger at TUV Rheinland.

This is most likely the same technology as in the Oppo Find X2 Pro and the Chinese-bound Oppo Ace smartphones. The OnePlus 8 Pro charges its 4,510 mAh battery with the Warp Charge 30T from 0 to 63% in half an hour. For comparison, the Find X2 Pro has a slightly smaller power cell - 4,260 mAh - but it goes up to 95% in thirty minutes.

The TUV Rheinland certificate certifies the safety standard compliance and qualification of products. This means the renowned German company confirms your device or technology, in this case, the future OnePlus 8T/OnePlus 9 won’t burst into flames while used by a consumer.
