OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro officially go on sale in India on May 29

Vlad, 13 May 2020

A few weeks ago OnePlus officially unveiled its latest flagship devices, the 8 and 8 Pro, for the Indian market. Due to restrictions pertaining to the COVID-19 pandemic, a release date wasn't announced for the subcontinent, because there was a chance it would get pushed back afterwards. Amazon even had a false start taking pre-orders with an imagined shipping date of May 11, which didn't happen.

Today through its Red Cable Club community, OnePlus' Indian arm has finally revealed the date when the 8 and 8 Pro go on sale in India: May 29. You'll find them at Amazon, select retail stores, as well as in stock on the OnePlus website.

There's going to be a limited edition Pop Up bundle for both phones, which will include the handset along with a pair of Bullets Wireless Z headphones, a Cyan Bumper Case, and a Karbon Bumper Case, all for just INR 1,000 more than the retail price of the smartphone alone. This bundle will be exclusively available to Red Cable Club members a day early, on May 28.

The OnePlus 8 will cost INR 41,999 (with 6GB of RAM + 128GB of storage), INR 44,999 (8GB+128GB), and INR 49,999 if you want 12GB+256GB. The OnePlus 8 Pro, on the other hand, starts at INR 54,999 (8GB+128GB), and goes up to INR 59,999 for the 12GB+256GB model.

Launch offers include INR 3,000 instant discount on the 8 Pro and INR 2,000 instant discount on the 8 if you purchase using SBI credit cards, up to 12 months no-cost EMI on OnePlus.in and Amazon.in if you purchase using "popular bank debit and credit cards", or across all retail channels with SBI credit cards. Bajaj Finance offers you the chance to purchase the phones at one third of their total value, while paying the remainder in monthly installments over one year. Finally, Red Cable Club members get 10% off the screen protection plan.

The 8 Pro did not go up for sale on 29th May 2020 in India. There is no information regarding to when it may actually come for sale.

Wrong information. It is going on sale in India on 18.5.2020 through amazon at 2pm. Still because of its unimpressive camera response will be lukewarm. Maybe OP 8T will make good this aspect with better camera. Price should have been 40K instead of 42...
