Snapdragon 720G-powered Oppo Reno4 Pro now available for purchase

The Oppo Reno4 Pro announced for the global markets last week is now available for purchase in India through Amazon.in and Flipkart for INR34,990 ($470/€395). It comes in a single 8GB/128GB memory configuration and you get two color options - Silky White and Starry Night.

The Reno4 Pro for the global markets is different from the Chinese Reno4 Pro. The international unit doesn't support 5G networks and is powered by the Snapdragon 720G SoC instead of the Snapdragon 765G.

You also get a downgraded quad camera which comprises a 48MP primary, 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth sensor units. These are aligned vertically in the upper-left corner on the back that's made up of plastic instead of glass.

The 6.5" 90Hz FullHD+ curved AMOLED screen also loses HDR10+ and Gorilla Glass 6 and instead comes with HDR10 support and the protection of Gorilla Glass 5. The stereo speakers are also done away with on the global Reno4 Pro, but on the upside, you do get the 3.5mm headphone jack.

What's retained by the international Reno4 Pro is the 32MP selfie camera, in-display fingerprint reader, and the 4,000 mAh battery that charges through a USB-C port at up to 65W.

"The international unit doesn't support 5G networks and is powered by the Snapdragon 720G SoC instead of the Snapdragon 765G" big yikes. dead on arrival.
