Apple iPhone 12 announcement date and shipping details revealed

We may have learned the announcement and even shipping details of the iPhone 12 as well as the next iPad and Apple Watch, thanks to tech analyst Jon Prosser. He was the one that correctly predicted the iPhone SE announcement date, back in March.

According to his information Apple will hold the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro event in the week, beginning on October 12. Apple will then open pre-orders for the iPhone 12 (read non-Pro) models the same week and start shipping the next week, which begins on October 19.

The iPhone 12 Pro models are expected to ship sometime in November.

Prosser also shares the announcement of the next-gen affordable iPad 10.2 and the Apple Watch Series 6 - the week starting September 7, saying Apple won't hold a special event for the two devices but rather launch them with a press release.

We expect Apple to unveil up to 4 iPhone 12 devices - an iPhone 12 Pro and a Pro Max alongside an iPhone 12 and a 12 Max.
