Top 10 trending phones of week 33

Chip, 17 August 2020

It's an Ultra phone topping our trending chart once more, but it's coming from Xiaomi this time. The newly unveiled Mi 10 Ultra is such an exciting piece of tech that it's hardly a surprise that everyone wants to know more about it. It's a real shame few will be able to see it in person, though.

The Galaxy Note20 Ultra stepped down to second, as the OnePlus Nord returned to the podium now that th Pixel 4a announcement hype died down.

Samsung Galaxy M31s has also gained a place to capture fourth, ahead of the Redmi Note 9 and Note 9 Pro duo.

The Samsung Galaxy A51 is the most consistent member of the chart this year and this week it finds itself in seventh, a step above the former podium member Google Pixel 4a.

The Redmi 9 is now back in ninth, as the Microsoft Surface Duo used the momentum of the launch of its pre-orders to enter the top 10.

The India-only Redmi 9 Prime and the 4G version of the Galaxy Note20 Ultra are the two phones to miss out compared to last week.

Redmi Note 9 needs to be much above because it was really popular. With Mediatek gaming processor this smartphone is really good at the cost.

Smartphones integrated with the Snapdragon 865 does not even come with an integrated 5G modem, it would be a huge disadvantage for me. In the mid range aspect I think Redmi Note 9 is doing pretty well.
