Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 receives MIUI 12 Global Stable ROM

The global units of the almost-two-year-old Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 has started receiving the final version of the MIUI 12 software. The software version is V12.0.1.0.QEEMIXM and brings a lot of novelties, as the detailed changelog below shows.

For instance, there are two new swipe down gestures. Swiping from the upper-right corner of the screen will open up the so-called Control center and swipe down from the left corner to open up the Notification shade.

The list also mentions something about brightness and color improvements for wallpapers in Dark mode along with optimized certain animations. Some cool animation effects have been added to the status bar and the screen lights up with animation now. The camera gets a new dedicated mode for scanning documents too.

The update bumps up the security patch to August 2020. Of course, there are likely more changes that are more subtle and didn't make it to the changelog so the best way to find out is to install the update yourself.
