Follow the introduction of the Sony Xperia 5 II live with us

Yordan, 17 September 2020

September is a month traditionally filled with smartphone announcements, but this is still one of the more exciting ones. While Sony doesn't have anywhere near the market share it once had it still bring innovative devices that can stand out in the crowded market

The Xperia 5 II is debuting at an online event, live-streamed on YouTube and all other major social media platforms. We’ve provided a link below that you should tune in to at 7AM UTC.

Leaks pointed to Sony Xperia 5 II retaining its 21:9 CinemaWide screen, dual stereo speakers, and a 3.5 mm audio jack on top.

Inside we expect a Snapdragon 865 chipset with 8GB RAM, while on the back we should see a triple camera similar to the one of the Xperia 1 II.

Pricing and availability will be revealed at the event, and hopefully, this phone will hit the shelves faster than the Xperia 1 II. The current flagship arrived for pre-order three full months after the official unveiling and then users had to wait up to three weeks for actual shipping.

No Xperia device is worth buying unless you're a Sony fanboy and willing to deal with lots of compromises. I am a Sony hater and every year Sony still proves me right.
