Android 11 beta now available for the Asus Zenfone 6

Peter, 16 September 2020

The recruitment is over and now those who signed up get to take the Android 11 beta for the Asus Zenfone 6 out for a test drive. The new software is based on the latest OS version and features some small changes to the ZenUI by Asus.

New features include Notification History and Bubbles, also third-party launchers can make use of gestures. The PowerMaster feature has been moved into the battery settings where it belongs.

Asus put some effort into decluttering the software – the Avast scanning engine, Private Listening and ZenUI Help are gone. The Smart group, Icon alignment and custom icon pack support have been removed as well.

This update is a hefty 1.4 GB download, so if you’ve signed up for the beta test, you better connect to Wi-Fi and start downloading. And if you haven’t, unfortunately, there’s no word on when the stable Android 11 update will be out.

So why did you install viruses and malware? I am now using my 4th Asus smartphone and I am extremely happy.
