Samsung SmartThings now works with Google Nest products

Google’s Nest product line is now officially supported by Samsung’s SmartThings platform. The news was confirmed in a press release from Samsung meaning Google’s Nest thermostats, security cameras and smart doorbells can now be controlled via the SmartThings app. In addition, Nest devices will now be automatable via Google Assistant voice commands or directly from the SmartThings app.

The press release also explains that Samsung users will soon be able to stream their Nest devices to Samsung smart appliances like TVs and other connected devices like the Family Hub fridge.

Samsung SmartThings now boasts over 63 million active users and works with more than 180 certified brands. Samsung also reinstated its aims to keep working towards a universal smart home devices system.
