vivo now pushing OriginOS beta - NEX 3S, X50 and S7 are first to get it

Yordan, 16 December 2020

vivo introduced OriginOS, its latest user interface, on November 18. The very next day we saw the official roadmap for updates, and the first batch of beta has been scheduled as “before January 2021”.

The company is way ahead of schedule and users reported that the iQOO 5 Pro, vivo NEX 3S, vivo X50, and vivo S7 5G are already receiving the initial public beta.

The OriginOS is based on Android 11 but customization run very deep. The platform brings a reimagined widget system, better gestures, memory optimizations, and plenty of visual improvements.

Currently, vivo is distributing the OS only to Chinese smartphones - global units are sitting on their FuntouchOS interface and the company is keeping silent on when the update will roll out in overseas markets.
